The text you type or paste
Kankan counts text inside your browser. This site does not send the text you type or paste to a server and does not collect it. It is gone when you close or reload the page. There are no accounts.
What is stored on your device
Only the following items are kept in your browser's localStorage. Clearing site data removes them.
kk.lang: a note that you closed or followed the language suggestion bar, so that it does not come back.kk.jasoseo.on,kk.jasoseo: created only if you turn on “save on this device” on the Korean cover-letter counter. They hold the question names, goals, your text and the line-break setting, and are deleted as soon as you turn the switch off or press the delete button there.
Nothing else is stored.
Ads
This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and other ad vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Because of these ads, third parties such as Google may place or read cookies in your browser and collect information through web beacons (tiny invisible images). See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings. We don't use separate analytics tools.
Fonts and server logs
The page loads its font from jsDelivr, a public content network, which receives your IP address like any web request. The site is served by Cloudflare, which may briefly keep basic request logs such as IP addresses to run the service securely. Neither ever receives your text.
